Halloween Craft Paper & Card
Bats, pumpkins, witches' hats and haunted-house windows all start with the right paper. Everything here is 100% recycled and made in the UK: deep black sugar paper and card, bright orange, purple and kraft. It's ready for classroom displays, party decorations and half-term crafting.
Sugar paper or card?
Black sugar paper (100gsm) is the one for big backgrounds, display boards and anything you'll cut, fold or layer. It takes chalk and white pencil beautifully, and the A2 and A1 sheets cover a whole display board with no joins.
Black card (270gsm) is much stiffer. Use it for bat wings that hold their shape, witches' hats, masks, stand-up silhouettes and cards. A4 and A5 go through most home printers, so you can print a template straight onto the sheet.
Choosing your colours
Black and orange do most of the work. Add our A2 orange and lilac sugar paper for pumpkins and potion bottles, or pick up vivid card for a mix of orange, green, yellow and red in one pack.
For a more natural autumn look, recycled kraft paper and card make lovely owls, scarecrows and treat bags. Greyboard makes a sturdy base for 3D models and masks.
Ideas to get you started
Haunted house window. Cut windows from black sugar paper, back them with orange or purple and hang the finished house on the window. Light comes through the coloured panels once it's dark.
Bat garland. Fold black card concertina-style, draw half a bat along the fold and cut. You'll get a string of bats in one go, sturdy enough to hang all month.
Chalk skeletons. White chalk on black sugar paper gives a clean, bold line. Children can draw bones by eye or glue down cotton buds for a simple X-ray effect.
Kraft treat bags. Fold kraft paper into small bags, add a black card pumpkin or cat on the front, and fill them for trick-or-treaters. They're plastic-free and recycle afterwards.
